His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received a telephone call from Her Excellency Ms. Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and Future of the United Arab Emirates, on Thursday (February 2, 2023).
During the conversation, HE the Minister congratulated HE Dr Albudaiwi on the occasion of assuming his duties as Secretary General of the Cooperation Council, wishing him success in his future tasks.
For his part, HE the Secretary General expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to HE the Minister, stressing his endeavour to achieve the lofty goals of the blessed course of the Council in fulfilment of the directives of Their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the GCC countries.
Moreover, HE the Secretary General affirmed the determination of the General Secretariat to support the success of the World Government Summit, which will be hosted by the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates this February.
The officials also discussed the means to develop the infrastructure to build smart and pioneering governments, and prepare and plan for a promising future, through knowledge exchange programmes between the GCC countries, which will contribute to reinforcing the competitiveness of future economy sectors, improve the effective and efficient performance of services, and enhance leadership readiness for future challenges facing the GCC countries.
