  During his Visit to the Sultanate of Oman: GCC Secretary General Meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman

​His Excellency Dr Nayef Falah M. Al Hajraf, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, on Wednesday (January 25, 2023) at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Muscat, on the occasion of the end of his tenure as Secretary General of the Council. 


During the meeting, HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his gratitude and appreciation to HE the Secretary General for the efforts exerted throughout his term in office, with the aim to activate and strengthen the joint GCC action, wishing him good health and continued success.

For his part, HE the Secretary General expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of the Sultanate of Oman and Chairman of the 43rd Session of the Supreme Council, for the tangible efforts and continued support provided by the Sultanate of Oman to boost joint GCC action in all fields, in order to achieve the aspirations of Their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the GCC states, and the ambitions of the citizens of the Council member countries for development, security and prosperity to accomplish more cooperation, interdependence and integration.

Moreover, His Excellency expressed his best wishes to the Sultanate of Oman and its people for security, progress and prosperity, under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan and the government, expressing his appreciation and gratitude for the role of the Sultanate in support of the work of the General Secretariat during the performance of his duties and its contributions towards the blessed course of the Council.
