  GCC Secretary General Praises Saudi's Announcement of a New Set of Development Projects in Yemen

HE Dr Nayef Falah M. Al Hajraf, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s announcement of a new and important package of development projects worth $400 million that will be implemented by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Programme for Yemen (SDRPY) in addition to allocating $200 million to provide oil derivatives to operate power stations in the country.


The oil derivatives will be dedicated to meet the priority needs of the brotherly Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering. The new package was announced by HRH Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense during His Royal Highness' reception of HE President Dr Rashad Muhammad Al Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen.

HE the Secretary General valued the great efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all aspects of political, development and relief support through the projects implemented by the SDRPY to help the Yemeni people in all the country's governorates, stressing the solidarity of the GCC countries with the Yemeni people and their support for them to achieve their aspirations for stability, peace, security and development in all fields.
