The General GCC and the European Union held a meeting on Tuesday, 25 February 2020, at the GCC headquarters in Riyadh, to discuss a number of important issues between the two sides.
The meeting, which was attended by the Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Negotiations, Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaishek and and the Ambassador of the European Union to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mr. Michele Cervone D'urso discussed the existing consultations between the two sides to explore ways to resume free trade negotiations between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union and the progress made in the GCC-EU cooperation programs and initiatives under the framework of the Joint Cooperation Agreement of 1988, and the next meeting of the Joint Cooperation Committee.
