  During his meeting with HE the Minister of the Interior of the Sultanate of Oman .. Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council: the GCC Security and its people are a top priority to the GCC Joint Security Work

HE Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council affirmed that the security and stability of the GCC States are a top priority, and that the GCC States will remain with God’s help, and thanks to the directives and visions of their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states, a bulwark for security, safety and revival, through the interdependent of its security systems, which protect the GCC States and their people  from the dangers of terrorism and the threats of criminal organizations.

This came during the receiving of HE Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, to HE the Secretary General on Tuesday, 25 February  2020, at his office in Muscat, where he congratulated him on his appointment as Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, wishing him success in his duties, and looking forward to further the GCC cooperation and achieve more accomplishments through the Ministerial Committee of their Highnesses and Excellencies, the Interior Ministers of the GCC states, and their working committees, in order to achieve the GCC high goals in joint security and the protection of the GCC states and their citizens.

For his part, HE the Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf thanked their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the GCC States for their confidence, and expressed his appreciation for the Sultanate’s role in enhancing security and stability in the region, and its support for the GCC joint work, as well as his wishes for the Sultanate and its people more progress and prosperity under the wise leadership and the directives of HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq.

HE the Secretary General also stressed that strengthening the GCC joint security work, as well as the GCC security institutions and developing their outputs, requires continuous hard work within the framework of cooperation and integration between the GCC ministries of the Interior, in order to protect the security of the GCC states, and to preserve their stability and the interests of their citizens and residents. He also praised the results of the joint tactical training exercises for the Gulf security services (Arab Gulf Security 2), which was held in the United Arab Emirates from February 16 to 20.

The meeting was attended by Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior in the Sultanate of Oman, and the Secretary General accompanying delegation.
