  The GCC and the IACP sign a Memorandum of Understanding

GCC- Abu Dhabi
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani received on Wednesday, 22 January 2020, at the GCCPOL headquarters in Abu Dhabi, HE Mr. Vincent Talucci, Executive Director of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), and the accompanying delegation, on the occasion of his visit to The United Arab Emirates.
During the meeting, they discussed means to enhance cooperation and mutual coordination between the two sides in the field of combating crimes of all kinds, and exchange experiences, information and training.
The Director General of the GCCPOL, Col. Mubarak Said Al Khyeli briefed HE Mr. Vincent Talucci and the accompanying delegation on the tasks and responsibilities the GCCPOL performs in regards to the GCC security work, and the efforts the GCCPOL undertake to enhance cooperation and coordination between the competent security agencies in the GCC States in combating crime and regional and international cooperation.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Executive Director of the International Association of Chiefs of Police signed a memorandum of understanding between the GCC General Secretariat, represented by the GCCPOL, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police that organizes the strengthening of joint cooperation in important security areas between the two sides.
The Memorandum of Understanding included enhancing cooperation between the two sides in the field of exchanging strategic information, combating crimes, holding specialized training courses and specialized research in security affairs.
On this occasion, the Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for the GCCPOL efforts to enhance cooperation and joint coordination with many international security organizations, praising Their Highnesses and Excellencies, the GCC Interior Ministers keenness and support of the GCCPOL to develop its performance and increase its capabilities to achieve the goals of joint security cooperation to combat crime of all kinds.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was attended by a number of the GCCPOL senior officials and the accompanying delegation of the IACP Executive Director.
