The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa received on Thursday, 15 August 2019, at his office in the MOFA headquarters, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani.

HE The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, praising the important role Dr. Al-Zayani plays in developing the role of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and his tireless efforts to strengthen the GCC relations with various countries and regional and international groupings at all political, economic and other levels, taking the GCC to wider horizons. He also stressed the need to continue the consultations on all issues and exchange views on the frameworks and mechanisms that will help overcome the challenges facing the countries of the region and support security, stability and progress for their people.

For his part, HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani expressed his pride in meeting the Minister of Foreign Affairs, praising the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in establishing security and peace, and wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
