  The GCC Bureau of Technical Secretariat for Anti Injurious Practices in International Trade holds the 2nd Excellence Ceremony

Under the patronage of HE the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, and in his presence, the GCC Bureau of Technical Secretariat for Anti Injurious Practices in International Trade held the 2nd Excellence Ceremony for its employees on Tuesday, 9 July 2019, at the GCC headquarters, in Riyadh; with the participation of the Assistant Secretaries-General, the Directors-General and a number of senior officials of the GCC Secretariat and the GCC Bureau employees.
In his opening speech, the Assistant Secretary General for Economic and Development Affairs, Mr. Khalifa Bin Saeed Al-Abri stressed the GCC Bureau's keenness, since its establishment, to adopt a clear strategy to consolidate the culture of excellence and creativity to become a practical approach to improve the individual and collective performance. He also thanked HE the Secretary-General for his patronage and his continued support for the GCC Bureau, as well as the Director General of the GCC Bureau of Technical Secretariat for Anti Injurious Practices in International Trade, Mr. Rehan Mubarak Fayez and the GCC Bureau employees for their successful efforts in achieving this initiative objectives.
In his speech, the Director General of the GCC Bureau of Technical Secretariat for Anti Injurious Practices in International Trade, Mr. Rehan Mubarak Fayez stressed that the GCC Bureau's initiative to celebrate excellence for the second year in a row translates the strategy set based on the policy of consolidating the excellence and creativity approach in all areas of work, achieving the GCC Secretariat objectives and implementing HE the Secretary's-General directives of excellence, influence and prestige. He also expressed his pride in the GCC Bureau's achievements, which contributed to strengthen the GCC Bureau global position with Gulf competencies open to global developments in the fight against harmful practices in international trade, and in line with the requirements of protecting the Gulf industry.
During the Ceremony, they launched the "McNoon" program; a system developed to manage, organize and save the files of the investigations and manage their teams. The GCC Bureau also gave a presentation on the efforts made by its employees and the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to them.
At the end, HE the Secretary-General and the Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs distributed the certificates of appreciation to the honorees.
The Secretary-General received the Master's thesis of Mr. Ali Sultan Al-Kindi titled "Anti-Dumping: A Study under the GCC unified anti-dumping law, its compensatory and preventive measures and executive regulations", where he congratulated him on this valuable thesis, and wished him all the best.
On this occasion, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani praised the GCC Bureau of Technical Secretariat for Anti Injurious Practices in International Trade efforts to tackle and combat the harmful practices in international trade, serving the desired objectives of economic integration among the GCC States. He also commended the Bureau's initiative to honor its outstanding employees to celebrate the values of work, production and excellence, praising the sincere efforts and outstanding contribution made by the honorees, and congratulating and wishing them further progress, excellence and success.
The Secretary General welcomed the launch of "McNoon" program, and expressed his appreciation for the efforts made to develop such a vital program, which will manage, organize and save the files of the investigations of harmful practices in international trade, as these investigations are of great importance in protecting the Gulf industry. He also stressed the importance of creating and developing systems to enhance the quality and improve the performance of the departments in achieving the tasks entrusted to them in order to serve the objectives of the GCC joint work.
