The GCC and The Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association held a consultative meeting on Wednesday, 24 July 2019, at the GPCA headquarters in Dubai.
During the meeting, they discussed issues related to petrochemical commodities and the obstacles facing the GCC negotiations of free trade agreements with other countries and economic groups.
The Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Negotiations, Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaishek pointed out the importance of such meetings to discuss the views of exporters of petrochemical commodities in the GCC States, and the difficulties they face in exporting these commodities to foreign and targeted markets for the GCC exports, in order to take them into account in the future negotiations of the GCC trade agreements.
