  Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council receives the Director General of the GCC-STAT

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani received on Tuesday, 11 June 2019, at his office in the GCC headquarters in Riyadh, Mr. Saber Al Harbi, Director General of the Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf.

 

During the meeting, they discussed the GCC-STAT efforts promoting the GCC joint work, and the statistical studies carried out in the field of economic development in the GCC States.

The Director General of the GCC-STAT presented the annual report for 2018 to the Secretary General, where he commended the report's clarifications and statements on the GCC-STAT activities and functions in regards to carrying out the statistical studies in the field of economic and social development in the GCC States in cooperation with the National Statistical Centers of Member States to implement the 2015-2020 Strategic Plan for Joint Statistical work.

 

The Secretary-General also commended the GCC-STAT efforts under the leadership of Mr. Saber Harbi and all its members working on the GCC Joint Statistical work.

 

The meeting was attended by, Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, Director General of Information and Planning Department, Mr. Talal Abdul Salam Al Ansari, General Supervisor of Protocol Department and Chairman of the GCC Training Committee, and Mr. Abdullah Al Jarbou, Director of the Secretary-General Office, and Director in Charge of Information Technology.
