The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques noted that "During this holy month, commercial vessels near the territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates were subjected to terrorist sabotage operations, including two Saudi oil tankers, which poses a serious threat to the security and safety of regional and global maritime traffic, stressing that these terrorist acts dose not only target the Kingdom and the Gulf region, but also the security of navigation and the world’s energy supplies. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques affirmed that the Palestinian Cause is the cornerstone of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation work and the focus of our attention until the brotherly Palestinian people get all their legitimate rights guaranteed by the international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab peace initiative, reaffirming the unequivocal rejection of any measures that would prejudice the historical and legal status of Al-Quds Al-Sharif.The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques pointed out that the restructuring and development of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the reform of its organs have become an urgent necessity to confront the regional and international challenges that our nation is undergoing. Through its presidency of the summit, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia will endeavor to work with OIC member states and the OIC General Secretariat to achieve what the peoples of our Islamic nation aspire to.
