The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council condemns the Terrorist Attacks on Two Oil-Pumping Stations in Saudi Arabia

GCC- Riyadh

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, strongly condemned the terrorist Drone attacks carried out by the Houthi militias on Tuesday, 14 May 2019, targeting two oil-pumping stations of Saudi Aramco in Dawadmi and Afif Governorates in Riyadh, resulting in limited material losses.

The Secretary General described the attacks as a sinful Houthi attack that proves Houthi's continued efforts to undermine the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, intimidate the safe, and damage its oil installations.  He stressed that such terrorist Drone attacks will not affect the Kingdom's security and stability, and will not affect the global energy supply in which Saudi Arabia plays a prominent role, such acts should be confronted firmly from the international community as they pose a threat to civilians and to the security and stability of the region.
