The GCC Committee of Red Crescent Organizations Media and Awareness Officials held the 4th meeting on Wednesday, 16 October 2019, at the GCC headquarters in Riyadh.
During the meeting, they discussed the activities and programs of the GCC Red Crescent Day, which is scheduled to be on 23 October each year; to highlight the role of humanitarian work carried out by the Red Crescent Organizations in the GCC States and promote the concept of volunteerism through the activities and events planned to be held that day.
They discussed the mechanism to use social media in the field of media and awareness and the importance of preparing national cadres to reflect the role of Red Crescent Organizations in the GCC States, through social media platforms.
As well as, the annual report of the relief and development work of Red Crescent Organizations, which will be submitted to the Committee of the heads of the Red Crescent Organizations in the GCC States, at their 15th meeting in Muscat, November 7, 2019.
