  The GCCPOL Participate in the 42nd Conference of Arab Police and Security Leaders

GCC- Tunisia

A delegation from the GCCPOL, led by Col Mubarak Said Al Khaili, Director General of the GCCPOL, attended the 42nd Conference of Arab Police and Security Leaders, Held during the period from 12-13 December 2018, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, in Tunisia.

The conference was inaugurated by HE Head of the Government of the Republic of Tunisia, Youssef Chahed. He welcomed the participants and attendees, which were senior leaders and security officials from various Arab countries and international organizations.

HE Youssef Chahed stressed the need to regularize the conference meetings, and the richness of its work and the comprehensiveness of its recommendations, which is an important asset that contributes effectively to improve security performance in the Arab countries, serving their citizens and societies. He also, stressed the need to give special priority to the issue of cybercrime, which calls for strengthening cooperation by establishing a unit within the Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers to enhance cooperation among Arab countries in this field.

In conclusion, a number of recommendations were discussed and adopted, that contribute to enhance the joint Arab security work.
