Page Content The Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Negotiations, Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaishek, met on Wednesday, 14 November 2018, at the GCC headquarters in Riyadh, the Ambassador of New Zealand to the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia, HE James Monroe, and the Defense Attaché to New Zealand's Embassy, Brig. Gen Anthony Hayward.During the meeting, they discussed issues of common concern, and ways to improve disaster response capabilities, in addition to regional military priorities. Both sides looked forward to the cooperation between the specialists from New Zealand and the GCC Emergency Management Center.Dr. Al-Owaishek explained that the memorandum of understanding reached earlier, and the Joint strategy aim at strengthening the relations between the two sides; and means of supporting and developing them through political consultations, economic cooperation and communications based on common interests.
